An acrylic glaze which when coloured with satin or matt emulsion/latex can be used to produce semi transparent coloured paint effects.

For water and wear resistance, allow a minimum of 48 hours before protecting with Polyvine Decorators Varnish .

How To Use Polyvine Classic Scumble Glaze

Seal porous surfaces.

Ensure Classic Colour is well mixed

Choose the base coat colour and the colour of the Classic Colour effect. A

pply the base coat in vinyl silk emulsion/satin latex and allow to dry.

The second coat is preferably matt emulsion (satin can be used) in the selected colour mixed with Classic Colour as follows:

Warm Conditions/low humidity: (above 20C/70F) –six parts Classic Colour –one part emulsion/latex.

Cool conditions/high humidity: (below 20C/70F) –four parts Classic Colour –one part emulsion/latex.

Ratios may be varied to suit application conditions and changes in temperature/humidity.

Brush the mixture liberally over the base coat.

Large areas such as walls should be divided into sections to keep a workable edge
